Villa Desideria Bed and Breakfast... starts here!

Start an adventure

Villa Desideria is a wonderful starting point to explore Sardinia. You can visit the most beautiful beaches of the South Eastern part of the island. Start with Cagliari, take the panoramic road to Cala Regina and Villasimius, passing through Cagliari's Poetto Beach, Marina di Capitana, Mari Pintau, Kala'e Moru, Geremeas, Baccumandara, Torre delle Stelle, Solanas and Costa Rei. You can also easily reach the most fantastic beaches in the South West such as Chia or Badesi.

A naked town rising steep

Let's not forget the history of the ancient Cagliari, only 17 kms from Villa Desideria, a city which amazed writers such as D.H. Lawrence: And suddenly there is Cagliari: a naked town rising steep, steep, golden-looking, piled naked to the sky from the plain at the head of the formless hollow bay. It is strange and rather wonderful, not a bit like Italy. The city piles up lofty and almost miniature, and makes me think of Jerusalem: without trees, without cover, rising rather bare and proud, remote as if back in history, like a town in a monkish, illuminated missal. One wonders how it ever got there. And it seems like Spain - or Malta: not Italy.

The Beaches ... from clear blue to bright turquoise

A land full of colors

Quartu Sant'Elena: the third largest city in Sardinia, famous for its excellent wine, cakes and bread as well as its filigree gold jewelery. Geremeas: a mere 9 kilometers from Villa Desideria, offers the loveliest long white sandy beaches imaginable. A perfect location for wind and kite surfing. Villasimius: with its picturesque white and golden, sandy beaches where the sea varies from light blue to bright turquoise or emerald green. Those who visit Villasimius usually find the sea here as crystal clear as The Caribbean. Take a walk through the old town of Villasimius with its narrow streets, coffee shops and maybe pick up some local products.

The Mediterranean and the Sea

Villa Desideria Bed and Breakfast will be the beginning of an unforgettable holiday where you can discover one of the most amazing coast lines in the country. If you close your eyes, your senses are awakened by the scent of oleanders, myrtle and broom. You can reach the nearest beaches of Marina di Capitana, Is Mortorius or Marina Residence on foot or by bicycle (provided free of charge by Villa Desideria). Alternatively, take your car or motorbike for a short drive to the remaining beaches along the Sp 17 road up to Villasimius (Cala Regina, Kala e Moru, Bacu Mannu, Torre delle Stelle, Geremeas, Porto Sa Ruxi).
